Hi Everyone!
I thought it might be a good idea to share some details on how to setup Truckler and how to receive the delivery info from your drivers.
Truckler is an online solution only for decoding the final delivery info. There is no socket server or other API to tap into to receive the data. The workflow for Truckler is this: game -> plugin -> POST to VTC URL -> POST to Truckler Processor for decoding -> result for VTC URL.
Bundled with all Truckler releases is the Truckler Configuration Utility. With that utility drivers can enter in a URL for the deliveries to be POST'd to. This should be a site or API the VTC controls. The VTC site/API will receive the data as a POST request, but it will be encoded and will need to be sent to the Truckler Processor via POST request for decoding. The return data of the POST request will contain the decoded delivery info. This is for various security reasons and has worked really well in the alpha testing.
IF you are using a Linux/ubuntu host that allows you to upload your own PHP extensions(NOT composer, actual *.dll or *.so files/assemblies) and enable them in the php.ini, then there is an offline version of the Truckler Processor that can be made. However, there is no guarantee this will remain functional as the overhead for maintaining this is massive(Each PHP minor build requires a separate extension build).
If you require assistance with Truckler, you can open a discussion in these forums. Releases can be downloaded at: https://gitlab.com/jammerxd/truckler-client-releases
Customized VTC builds are a work in progress and will not be available for free. There WILL be a cost. The cost has not been determined.
A sample receive PHP script is here.
